Art House, Inc. Announces New Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Art House, Inc. is proud to announce the appointment of Tanya Kaiser as its new Executive Director, effective September 14, 2026. Ms. Kaiser assumes the role vacated by Laila Voss upon her retirement after a 10-year tenure with the organization.

Ms. Kaiser has an extensive and impressive background in the arts and nonprofit arts management. Most recently, she served as Assistant Director at Summer on the Cuyahoga in Cleveland, OH where she managed program operations, budgeting, grant writing, and institutional partnerships with twelve colleges and universities in Northeast Ohio and throughout the country. She was also the founder and curator of Kaiser Studios, an interdisciplinary arts organization producing exhibitions, artist residencies, and public programming throughout the Greater Cleveland area. Ms. Kaiser is, herself, an award-winning artist, primarily in ceramics and sculpture. She holds a MFA degree in studio art from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY and a BFA in Fine Art with a minor in art history from the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, OH.

She is also actively involved in a variety of national, regional and local arts-related organizations. She is a member of the Board of Directors and Exhibitions Chairperson of the Women’s Caucus for Art, an appointed member to the Services to Artists Committee of the College Art Association, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Collective Arts Network (CAN) Journal in Cleveland, OH.

“Art House has built a meaningful legacy in this community, and I’m excited to build on that strong foundation while imagining what’s possible for its future,” said Ms. Kaiser. “I’m looking forward to creating new opportunities for artists and educators, deepening connections with our community, and expanding the ways the arts can bring people together.”

Art House, Inc. is a nonprofit arts center located in historic Brooklyn Centre, between the Ohio City and Old Brooklyn neighborhoods of Cleveland, Ohio. The mission of the organization is to inspire exploration and expression through the visual arts. Art House accomplishes that mission by making art accessible to the greater Cleveland community through instruction, encouragement, and as a campus for creative learning. By fulfilling this mission, Art House stabilizes our neighborhoods and creates opportunities for artists to thrive.
