As a visual arts organization with a community focus, Art House makes art accessible through a broad range of free and low-cost, fee-for-service programs. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult to participate in our Family Art Classes. Family Open Studio is a free, monthly workshop for families. Led by a professional artist, children and adults have the opportunity to express their feelings and ideas and learn about new materials and processes. In addition, families can create in a safe, supportive atmosphere where they can spend quality time together and bond through creativity and art. Past projects have included paper marbling, mask making, paper mâché, and print making. Family Open Studio occurs on the third Saturday of every month.
Family Clay Day is a offered every other month to local Cleveland families. Classes are led by a professional artist, who instructs participants on how to create with clay. This workshop is available for up to 35 participants, so we highly recommend that you register early! In previous workshops, kids and adults have created fairy houses, Christmas ornaments, clay sculptures, and pinch pots.
Classes vary from 3D to 2D artworks with talented artist-led workshops and classes.
