Community Partners Rock!

Art House has had a long partnership with Bellaire Puritas Community Development (BPCDC) for many years. Together we service many youth with visual arts programming in the West Park neighborhood. This year we have done afterschool programs with and performed at: GALA Elementary, Parade the Circle and Day of the Dead. This year was particularly exciting as we were able to launch a high school workshop that focused on arts enrichment. The students were able to explore their own creativity while being guided by Grace Summanen, who is an artist, professor and overall an inspiring woman to lead these students. We plan on continuing this program and bringing the students on site visits to: artists’ studios, local businesses, college campuses and non-profits like Art House to further enrich their experience.

Out of School Time (OST) and Mycom fund these programs and has allowed us to continue our partnership with BPCDC. As we move into 2018 we are looking forward to planning more programming and developing meaningful visual arts classes to city students.

Thank you Vanessa Lange at BPCDC and Starting Point for helping Art House reach more students every year.
