Art House went to the Zoo!

Sunday, April 19, 2009 Art House hosted a booth with artist

P.R. Miller @ EarthFest

P.R. Miller is a sculptural artist who works with recycled materials. Through his 3D work and live performances, P.R. hopes to better inform his audience of the possibilities of eco-friendly artwork. P.R., also known as the “Grizzled Wizard,” transforms discarded items, perceived by most as junk, into whimsical interpretations like oversized flowers and larger-than-life frogs. Recently he installed one of his fanciful metal frogs in front of Akron’s library in the Highland Square area. As an advocate for recycling, the artist frequently visits public schools in Ohio to lecture on the importance of reusing materials. At EarthFest 2009 P.R. will be running the Art House Inc. booth, and a make and take art project. All who participate will walk away with a bug made out of scrap parts.

Thank you to Vedda Printing for their in-kind contribution toward Art House's Annual Campaign Letter for support.

Art House on front page of Old Brooklyn News

Art House, Old Boorklyn Community Development Corporation, and 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students from Constallation's Old Brooklyn Community School worked with Art House staff to decorate Old Brooklyn's Central Commercial district. Students made snowflakes and banners that will be displayed on the street and in store windows for

months to come.
