Postcard Competition

Here’s a quick plug for our good friends over at SPACES Gallery: they are holding a postcard design competition! Open to ages 3+ (don’t tell them I said this but if you are 2 1/2 I would just fudge the application…you are practically 3), SPACES wants you to design a postcard for Cleveland. Anything Cleveland related is allowed: places, events, food, people, you name it, they want it. Head on over to their website for more information.

Give your drawing hand a rest this weekend, though, and saunter yourself and your family over to Zygote Press for a show by Noel Reifel and his students. Fellow Travelers opens this Friday night from 6-9pm. While you’re there, be sure to get Liz Maugans to give you a tour of the shop and ZPASS–their new resident artists loft upstairs!

Then on Saturday, catch CIA alum and instructor Christie Birchfield at William Busta Gallery on Prospect from 2-4pm (and then again at SPACES for an artist talk on March 1st).

On Sunday, stay in and get to work on those postcard designs–you only have until March 15th!! Happy art-ing 🙂 And stay tuned for more from Arthouse Inc! We’ve got some great photos of artist Kate Ward Terry working with the fabulous students at William Cullen Bryant elementary school, as well as updates on our classes.
